Pastoral: To Die in the Country (1974)

Synopsis: Few films are as daring and imaginative as this. Situated in a dream of rural Japan, the story starts about a teenage boy who tries to escape the suffocating protection of his mother and then transported to the desire of a filmmaker who attempts to confront its past. There is also an effort to reconcile the individual with Coletti, besides the old and new Japan through a parade of iconic images.
